announces the dates for its 11th edition

Cinema of reality returns to Milan from September 11 to 14, 2025

Milan, December 13, 2024 – The International Documentary Festival Visioni dal Mondo, the annual event dedicated to the cinema of reality, has announced the dates for its 11th edition: from September 11 to 14, 2025, Milan will once again become the capital of documentary filmmaking.

Founded and directed by Francesco Bizzarri, with artistic direction by Maurizio Nichetti, the Visioni dal Mondo Festival has become an essential reference point for the documentary cinema, offering stories that explore crucial events, universal values, and societal changes with an innovative and contemporary approach. Each edition showcases premieres of works that, thanks to their authenticity and depth, capture the attention of international film festivals.

Following the success of the 2024 edition, which celebrated the Festival’s 10th anniversary with an extraordinary program of Italian and international documentaries, meetings with filmmakers, and moments of dialogue, Visioni dal Mondo looks to the future with renewed enthusiasm and commitment.

The 2025 edition will also feature Visioni Incontra, the Festival’s industry section dedicated to business and professionals. Curated by Cinzia Masòtina, Head of Industry, this section celebrates its 10th edition, marking an important milestone achieved through consistent work and a commitment to building a platform that fosters productive connections and supports independent productions in securing co-production, acquisition, and distribution deals.

Organizers are already working on creating an extraordinary program featuring exclusive premieres, engaging meetings with filmmakers and international guests, workshops tailored for industry professionals, and thought-provoking public discussions. The Festival continues to affirm its role as a hub of inspiration and collaboration, where the cinema of reality comes to life, bringing stories that resonate universally.
