2022 Submissions for Finished Documentarie and Projects now open
Today, 2nd March, calls open for Finished Documentaries and Projects of the 8th Visioni dal Mondo International Documentary Film Festival, which will take place in Milan in presence and online from 15th to 18th September. This edition is focused around the theme:
More Knowledge. More Awareness.
Present and future are once again at the heart of the Festival through new investigations, enquiries and reports, with the aim of raising civil, social and environmental Awareness through greater Knowledge in order to build, with changes and transformations, a sustainable, responsible and fair future. A bridge between the creativity of documentary filmmaking, investigative journalism and scientific, social and sociological investigation: Visioni dal Mondo.
To submit your film please fill out the online form on the official website of the Festival www.visionidalmondo.it. There are three competitive sections to which you can apply:
- Italian Competition dedicated to Italian filmmakers, which includes two categories:
- Italian Premiere of feature documentaries with a duration over 50′, completed after January 1st, 2021. The winner will receive the Visioni dal Mondo Official Jury Prize of 5,000 euros
- New Talent best first feature, Italian premiere, with no duration limit, completed after January 1st, 2021. The winner will receive the Visioni dal Mondo Best First Feature Prize of €2,500.
- International Competition dedicated to foreign independent productions with Italian premiere of feature films longer than 65′, completed after 1st January 2021. The winner will receive the Visioni dal Mondo International Competition prize of 3,000 euros.
- Visioni Incontra Competition with the categories Work in progress, projects already in production or in post-production; and Final development, projects already developed that have just started or will start production in the coming months. The winner will receive the Visioni dal Mondo Best Documentary Project Award of 2,500 euros.
The deadline for submitting entries to the competitions is 6th June 2022. The entry forms and the detailed application forms are available on the website www.visionidalmondo.it.
