The ‘A Window on the World-Images from Reality’ International Documentary Festival is a cinematic art and documentary event that will take place every year and that wants to boost the popularity ot the documentary art, with a special attention given to contemporary stories and to the new italian production.
The first edition of the ‘A Window on the World-Images from Reality’ International Documentary Festival took place in Milan (Italy) from the 11th to the 13th of December 2015 at the UniCredit Pavilion, the multifunctional cultural auditorium designed by the renowned Michele De Lucchi architect, and located in piazza Gae Aulenti near the UniCredit Tower.
The ‘A Window on the World-Images from Reality’ International Documentary Festival is organized by UniCredit Pavilion and by the Production Co. FRANKIESHOWBIZ. Additional support is provided by other public and private Institutions, and by private Sponsors. The Main Media Partner is Rai, Media Partners are RaiNews24 and RaiCultura, with the support of Rai Cinema.
The Festival enjoys the collaboration of Istituto Luce Cinecittà, Cinecittà News, Doc/it – Associazione Documentaristi italiani, Università degli Studi di Milano – Dipartimento di Beni Culturali e Ambientali, Civica Scuola di Cinema, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Scuola Nazionale di Cinema – Sede Lombardia, IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, Libera università di lingue e comunicazione IULM and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Milano. The Festival wants to foster the documentary not only as a current affair reporter but also as an original story teller, as the cinema of the real world.
